The singer gave herself a radical overhaul that year, and the same year resulted in the album going gold in 1979. By 1986, Tucker signed with Capitol Records and released the “Girls Like Me” album that year. She appeared as a performer at the Super Bowl XXVII halftime show in 1994. In 2002, she moved to Tuckertime Records.
